2018 Volunteer of the Year Award Winner

Tyler Vancura, Wisconsin Reinsurance Company

Tyler Vancura of The Wisconsin Reinsurance Company, Madison, WI, was honored as the Volunteer of the Year for the Illinois Association of Mutual Insurance Companies at their 137th Annual Convention in August.

Tyler earned this award by consistently stepping up to help our Association at each event.  He served on the Education Committee, work registrations, lead roundtable discussions, as well as helping on the back side of the event to set up and tear down.   In addition, Tyler has shared his knowledge with our members when he presented a class on Catastrophe Planning at Convention.  Jackie Rakers, Executive Director for the Association said, “Tyler was always asking, “How Can I help you “and he meant it.  Regardless of the task,I needed assistance with, he stepped in to help and always with a smile. I love when he works our registration desk because I know he will treat our members with a warm welcome and be willing to help with any of their needs.  Tyler also stayed after each event to help me tear down and load the car, a true gentleman.  I really appreciated his extra efforts and it was my privilege and honor to give this award to Tyler.”

The Volunteer of the Year Award originated in 2005 as a means to recognize those individuals who generously donate their time to the success of the association. The Volunteer of the Year Award is presented to a person who serves as an example of volunteer commitment and leadership.   Congratulations Tyler!
